Encelia californica, commonly known as Brittlebush, is a perennial shrub native to California and parts of the southwestern United States. It features bright white, lance-shaped leaves and produces profuse clusters of bright yellow, daisy-like flowers from late winter to spring and sometimes into fall. California bush sunflower is highly drought-tolerant and thrives in sunny, well-drained soils. It is a popular choice for drought-tolerant landscapes, wildflower gardens, or as a naturalistic element in native plant gardens.
